RICHARD SHEIMAN

Richard Sheiman formed Clarity Consulting, Inc. in 1994. Prior to forming Clarity, he worked for Harlan Brown and Bassich Associates, DC area market research firms. He also worked in engineering project management at Logitech.

Under Richard's leadership, Clarity has continuously enhanced its range of capabilities, always sticking to a core capability of probing custom market research.

In recent years, Clarity has increasingly focused on Buy Side M&A engagements. Richard has been the mason of Clarity's M&A foundation, applying the firm's research expertise to acquisition prospect development and acquisition due diligence. He is the framer of Clarity's core business thesis, that every major business decision demands the best information available.

Richard earned a BS from Cornell University and an MBA from the Haas School of Management at UC Berkeley.

In addition to his activity at Clarity – Richard is a board member and investor at several early stage companies and private equity platform investments. He is also the founder of Brooktoneddy Opportunity Zone, a community for life longer learners.

PAUL DROBNITCH

Paul is a seasoned M&A professional with transactional experience in building products distribution, medical products, construction services, car wash operations and other industries.

He initially worked with Clarity in 2010 when he was VP of Corporate Development at Roofing Supply Group, a Sterling Group platform that had engaged Clarity for an acquisition search. When RSG was later sold to CD&R, Paul took a similar position at ABC Supply where he sourced and completed 37 acquisitions in 5 years. Subsequently, he was recruited to rejoin Sterling as SVP of Corporate Development at Construction Supply Group, completing 10 add-on acquisitions and a successful sale of the business to CD&R/Whitecap during his tenure. In his career, he has also worked in senior strategy and M&A roles at Turner Construction, Stryker Corp and Go Car Wash.

Erik Hoover

Erik Hoover is a business analyst with special interest in advanced materials used in process and manufacturing industries. Erik is a data-driven researcher focusing on technology innovation and transfer, production operations, and manufacturing economics. He has been affiliated with Clarity since 1996. Erik attended Cornell University.


LIZ DEVIVO

Liz DeVivo manages Clarity's back office and supports our market research activities.
Prior to joining Clarity, Liz has worked as a social worker and mental health practitioner. She is also a heart and lung recipient and longtime advocate for organ donation who serves as an inspiration to others.
She earned a BA and MA from Binghamton University and an MSW from SUNY Albany.

TOM RAMSEY

Tom Ramsey is a 40+ year filtration industry expert. He possesses a rare combination of both technical and commercial expertise to recognize unmet market needs and address these opportunities with effective filtration solutions.

Clarity first collaborated with Tom in 2011 when he was our primary point of contact on a filtration industry acquisition search that Clarity conducted on the behalf of Kaydon Corporation. At that time, Tom served as Director of Marketing and Business Development for Purafil, Kaydon's speciality air filtration company. The Clarity acquisition search was terminated when Kaydon itself was acquired by SKF.

Clarity worked with Tom on several filtration industry projects before inviting him to join the company in 2016.

Tom holds a B.A. degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is a long time member of the American Filtration and Separations Society and is currently a member of its Board of Directors.

Jason Dougher

Jason brings 20 years of Corporate Development experience at Eaton Corporation to the Clarity team.

He joined Eaton in 2004 with a mandate to bring acquisition Due Diligence in house - a task that did not bode well for Clarity's future diligence work for Eaton. For his final years at Eaton, Jason spent more time on Divestitures than Acquisitions, including work on the sale of Eaton Hydraulics to Danfoss in 2021.

Prior to Eaton, Jason worked in public accounting at KPMG and PwC.

Jason holds a B.S. from the University of Akron and an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University.
