Steve Clapp joined Clarity in 2006 to drive business development activities in addition to providing operational and financial expertise to the M&A team.
Prior to joining Clarity, Steve spent 8 years at Hewlett-Packard leading group level strategic planning, marketing operations and finance activities. Steve led many key marketing initiatives as HP transitioned from product-centric marketing to a solutions and services-led go-to-market strategy. His projects ranged from implementing a worldwide cost control system for measuring marketing ROI; to reducing an underfunded 60+ solution portfolio to 12 key focus areas; to budget management for multiple $100M+ R&D and marketing and software partner groups.
Prior to joining HP, Steve operated a transportation services company, where he orchestrated the turnaround of a family-owned business and successfully sold the company. This operational background complements Steve’s financial expertise, enabling his pragmatic view of the challenges in grooming small to mid sized businesses for medium term liquidity.
Steve earned both a BA and an MBA from Cornell University.
