Mike Walther contributes operations management and a Lean manufacturing skillset to the Clarity team. He principally focuses on M&A activities related to engineered seal & gasket solutions, and other HiRel engineered components utilized in demanding applications.
Clarity established our working relationship with Mike when he was serving as President and CEO of Spencer Turbine Company. At Spencer Turbine, Mike completed two acquisitions and introduced a global sourcing program. He bolstered margins despite growing pricing pressure Leanevents.
Before Spencer Turbine, Mike was Chairman, President, and CEO of Acushnet Rubber Company. In his eight-year tenure there he implemented a significant turnaround that involved substantial reduction of revenue and headcount to focus the business on sustainably profitable business. He reduced lead times by 70% improved delivery performance to 99+% by championing Kaizen practices.
Before Acushnet, he held numerous executive positions over 13 years at Coltec Industries, including VP Industrial Sealing at Garlock Sealing Technologies and VP Operations at Delavan Gas Turbine Products. Early in his career, he worked in both Mechanical and Electrical engineering roles at ABB.
Mike has a Bachelors of Science from Wesleyan University and served in the United States Navy as Boiler Technician.
