Elaine Maurer

Elaine Maurer has over 20 years experience in market research, both in-house and as an independent consultant. Since 1996, she has been a key contributor to the Clarity Research roster. Her unique combination of marketing planning, market research, and field sales experience ensures clients that her recommendations reflect true customer needs, marketplace realities, and the practicality of field organization implementation.

Elaine brings insights and expertise gained from high technology startups and health care companies to multi-division industrial corporations.

Elaine established the first corporate sales initiative for WordStar in the mid 1980’s when the market for PC application software was taking off. Subsequently, Elaine was Manager of Market Research and Planning for McKesson Corporation where she had chief responsibility for the implementation and ongoing monitoring of customer satisfaction, as well as the development of marketing plans for new technologies in health care delivery and retail management. In the mid 1990’s Elaine was Vice President Business Development for IntroSoft Corporation, a company that provided market entry services for U.S. software companies in Brazil, Chile and Argentina.

Elaine is fluent in Spanish and is a founder and active volunteer in “Rotaplast,” a Rotary Club International service project bringing donated medical supplies and a team of plastic surgeons to perform pediatric reconstructive surgery on indigent children born with cleft lip and palate in Latin America, and in Asia starting in 2002. The project, now in its tenth year, has brought a second chance for a normal life to over 4000 children and young adults.

Elaine earned a BA from the State University of New York at Buffalo, a Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s in Business Administration from Golden Gate University. She is also a graduate of The Burke Institute of Marketing Research.
